St Dominic’s Extend Unbeaten League Run with 5–2 Victory

On Wednesday 4th February 2026, St Dominic’s Sixth Form College took on Barnet and Southgate College on a muddy, slippery pitch. Despite the difficult conditions, the boys showed the right attitude from the outset and produced a dominant performance.

St Dominic’s controlled the first half, moving the ball well and setting the tempo. Their dominance was rewarded with two goals before the break, both coming from Regan Barry, giving St Dominic’s a deserved 2–0 lead at half-time.

The second half saw the floodgates open. Early after the restart, Regan Barry completed his well-earned hat-trick, collecting the match ball and extending the lead to 3–0. Barnet and Southgate responded positively, enjoying more possession and pulling a goal back to make it 3–1.

However, St Dominic’s quickly reasserted their authority. Following a Barnet and Southgate attack, a swift counter-attack unfolded, featuring an impressive sequence of ten passes. St Dominic’s looked like prime Barcelona as Virgil Obote Ogamba finished confidently with a low shot at the back post, after being picked out by an excellent cross from Micheal Roberts.

The goals didn’t stop there. More intricate passing opened up the opposition once again, with a perfectly weighted through ball finding Micheal Roberts. Showing great composure, he rounded the on-rushing goalkeeper before calmly slotting the ball into the net.

Barnet and Southgate had the final say with a well-worked team goal, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome as the match ended 5–2 to St Dominic’s.

The victory extends St Dominic’s unbeaten run in the league and sees them move four points clear at the top, with a game in hand. A statement performance that firmly establishes St Dominic’s Sixth Form College as the team to beat.
