Grace Sheehan – Head Girl

Welcome to St Dominic’s! My name is Grace Sheehan, and I feel privileged and honoured to be the Head Girl for this calendar year.
From my first day at St Dominic’s, I have been greatly inspired by the dynamic environment and strong sense of community, integral to the College’s ethos of high achievement and pastoral support. With the guidance of our dedicated teaching staff, students are encouraged to develop their abilities, embrace challenge, and achieve strong academic outcomes, alongside personal growth which is supported through high-quality pastoral care.
Since the start of the year, I have greatly appreciated the range of opportunities offered throughout the College. Whether it is developing life skills alongside the A level mindset through the Veritas programme, or expanding understanding and fostering spiritual growth in Core RE, St Dominic’s enables individuals to fulfil their potential as confident and well- rounded members of society.
This is reflected by the broad range of enrichment opportunities available to us, as students. This includes sports such as football and netball, as well as the Three Peaks Challenge. There are also creative opportunities in podcasting, the College musical, as well as activities as the Model UN, the debate society, and the charity team. These experiences play an important role in developing students beyond our academic study.
I look forward to working alongside Nick, the Student Executive, and the Student Council to lead events and initiatives that strengthen our community and ensure that student voice remains central to College life.
It is a privilege to serve as Head Girl for this remarkable cohort. As St Dominic’s continues to thrive, we are excited to welcome the 2026–2027 students and hope they will embrace all that the College has to offer, finding it as rewarding as I have.

Nicholas Charitou – Head Boy

Welcome to St Dominic’s. My name is Nicholas Charitou, and I am honoured to represent the College as Head Boy.
When I first started my time at St Dominic’s, I was immediately drawn to the refreshing and enthusiastic atmosphere. It allowed me to have a fresh start in a place that was both rich in academic excellence as well as many ‘super-curricular’ opportunities. Throughout the year, St Dominic’s strives to create an environment where everyone feels supported and inspired, enabling students to flourish. Our resources and dedicated teaching staff provide a wide range of opportunities for personal growth and preparation for future life experiences.
Through our Veritas and Enrichment programmes, students develop valuable life skills and broaden their knowledge, helping to guide them towards potential career paths. These programmes offer unique experiences found nowhere else, such as the Beacon Project, which gives students the opportunity to practise archaeology here at the college.
I look forward to working with our amazing Student Executive and Grace to represent the voice of all students within the College. Together, we will do our absolute best to support the College community academically, personally and spiritually.
