Study Plus organise and run workshops on a rolling programme on numerous skills such as:
- essay planning and writing
- organisational skills
- revision and exam techniques
- tips for improving grammar and punctuation
Study Plus offers an alternative working environment to the library, with support from fully qualified learning mentors and occasionally members of teaching staff.
Study Plans are offered to all students and updated every half term, to reflect any individual needs.
The Study Plus staff are very welcoming and always very attentive to student needs, they are kind and generous with their time and always available to help with anything students may need assistance with.
Students also play a vital role within the department by offering peer teaching sessions in an informal way. Second year students frequently tutor, mentor and act as role models. This not only develops their confidence in their subject, it enables individuals to network and interact with one another.
In additional to this, Study Plus provides assistance to individuals with educational needs and requirements and facilitates all exam access arrangements. The feedback received from students is always positive regarding this and how it alleviates stress and concerns relating to exams.
