Study Plus is a supportive and vibrant learning environment for all students at St Dominic’s.  Members of staff provide guidance and assistance to motivate students in a variety of ways.  We offer an alternative working environment to the library, with support from fully qualified learning mentors and occasionally members of teaching staff.

Study Plus is equipped with computers, subject text books, past exam papers, hand-outs, photocopying, printing and scanning facilities.

The staff organise and run skillshops on a rolling programme on numerous skills such as:

• Getting organised
• Study skills
• Effective time management
• Revision and exam skills

Study plans are offered to all students and updated regularly, to reflect individual needs.

Staff are very welcoming and always attentive to student needs, they are kind and generous with their time and always available to help with anything students may need assistance with.

Students also play a vital role within the department by offering peer teaching sessions in an informal way.  Second year students frequently tutor, mentor and act as role models.  This not only develops their confidence in their subject, it enables individuals to network and interact with one another.

In addition to this, Study Plus provides assistance to individuals with educational needs and requirements, and facilitates all exam access arrangements.  The feedback received from students is always positive regarding this and how it alleviates stress and concerns relating to exams.
