Every six weeks, teacher’s award effort and achievement grades for all students.  Effort grades run from 1-4 (1 = Excellent, 2 = Good, 3 = More Effort Required, 4 = Poor).   Achievement grades are awarded based on the current level of work recorded in that subject (for A levels the A-U grading is used, for BTEC it is Pass, Merit, Distinction).  These grades are then compared with a student’s MTG (Minimum Target Grade) which signifies the expected level of achievement (based on the student’s GCSE results).  These grades are available to view on SiD and they are emailed out to parents each half-term.
