  • Holy Week

    Published 05/04/19

This week, as we come to the end of our time in College on our Lenten journey, we paused to remember the events of Jesus’ final hours on earth. Each year group was invited to join in a reflection following the Stations on the Cross. We paused to think how these events can be seen in our lives and what we can do to change our attitudes so that we can fully be the people God calls us to be.  We concluded our time together with prayers for our College, our families and our world.

On behalf of all at St. Dominic’s I wish you a very Happy and Holy Easter.

    Angela O'Brien - Chaplain

  • Prayer Service for the Victims of the Attacks in New Zealand

    Published 03/04/19

After the prayer service for the victims of the attacks in New Zealand, a copy of the service was sent to the Office of the Prime Minister in New Zealand to let her know that we had been praying for them and for her country.

Although we did not expect a reply, we received an email from Jacinda Ardern's office, which we have shared with you below:

Thank you for your kind words Andrew.  It was very nice of your College to remember the people that have been killed in Christchurch, particularly as you are a long way from us here in NZ.   I shared the prayer service with the Prime Minister and she was really moved and touched.  It has been a very difficult few days for her and for our people.  It is wonderful to know that the world is full of really good people like the staff and students at St Dominic’s College.

Have a nice day and thanks again for getting in touch.

    Kind regards

    Dinah Okeby
Private Secretary to the Prime Minister

  • Raise the Rate

    Published 03/04/19

The ‘Raise the Rate’ petition is coming to a close shortly.

Thank you to so many who have signed it thus far – as a College we have submitted around 900 signatures which is very good.

If you have not done so yet, please do so – it would be good if we can get over a 1000 signatures from St Dominic’s.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Andrew Parkin, Principal
