This week we were fortunate enough to have former Controller of BBC Radio 4, Mark Damazer, visit the college and give a lecture to interested students about his successful careers in journalism and higher education. Mr Damazer gave an insightful talk about the value of knowledge and how this had informed his work in broadcast journalism and his continuing interest in the world of academia.  Students were able to ask questions about his experiences, advice and perspectives on current affairs (coincidentally on the day of the American election). Mr Damazer was impressed by the students’ insightful questioning and answered candidly in what was a very enjoyable experience for all who attended.
