Chemistry Race Competition at Cambridge University

Well done to our St Dominic's Team of:

  • Neera Shah
  • Zachary Lau
  • Gemma Hill
  • Dhruv Purohit
  • Lok Chi Inigo Ho

who took part in the Chemistry Race at the Department of Chemistry at Cambridge on Saturday 4th February.

This was the first time we have taken part in the competition and overall our students scored 100 points, finishing joint 25th out of 78 schools.  St Dominic's scored the same points as North London Collegiate School and scored higher than QE boys and Dulwich College and three fewer points than Hills Road Sixth Form College, so they will be one of our targets next year!

Most students present at the event were second year students, however our students enjoyed answering challenging questions in teams, and have already asked about taking part next year.

Thank you to one of our former students who showed us around their college and answered some questions during the lunch break.
