Charity Events at St Dominic’s

Mary’s Meals

Our first-year students took part in a very successful and fun sponsored walk around the Hill on a gloriously sunny afternoon on 14th September. They raised a staggering £5,400.00.

The charity, which serves nutritious school meals to children living in some of the world’s poorest countries, has long been close to our hearts here at St Dominic’s. We are grateful and proud to have had so many students and staff give both of their time and money to support such a worthwhile charity.  With such amazing work, Mary’s Meals can continue to reach more and more schools across the world - long may it continue to go from strength to strength.

Principal Andrew Parkin presented Year 1 student Anna O'Sullivan with a prize (Apple earbuds) for raising the most money as an individual student.

Macmillan Cancer Care Coffee Morning

The Macmillan Cancer Care Coffee Morning is always an important date in the College calendar and, once again we were delighted to 'Wear it Green' in support of the event.  As well as a number of staff helpers the Chaplaincy Team and Multi Faith Rep groups enthusiastically jumped in to help us fundraise.  A big thank to them and to all the staff and students who gave so generously and enabled us to raise over £300.
