Last Friday we were delighted to take a group of 25 students to visit St John's College, University of Oxford to learn about the process of applying for Oxbridge.

The students were able to have a tour of the college, enjoy a lunch in the refectory and work together in groups to look at what makes a good personal statement. The students also had the opportunity for some free time to explore Oxford.

This was part of our Excellence Programme in which we have given 100 Year 1 students the opportunity to visit Oxford or Cambridge to learn about applying for competitive universities. 

The Excellence Programme will continue in the summer term with a focus on personal statements and admissions tests.
