St Robert Southwell Retreat Day

St Dominic's Sixth Form College had the joy of welcoming the pupil chaplains from St Robert Southwell RC Primary School for a retreat day full of reflection and fun. Students had some time to reflect with the College Chaplain on the ways in which they can serve their school by means of little acts of service, coming up with 40 acts to cover 40 Days which they could take back to school with them and put into action.
They were then led in a time of rock painting on which they wrote words of encouragement to leave in random places across the globe for people to find.
The day concluded with a final service in which they became 'Lent Detectives' for their school, ensuring and overseeing that everyone will continue to uphold good actions and service to each other, especially over the Lenten season. They received certificates for their achievements and effort.
The students and teachers left with a renewed sense of purpose and mission, ready to go out into the world and be disciples of change, building up, strengthening and forging links with the wider Catholic community.
St Dominic's were honored to be a part of these building blocks and very much hope to continue to work with St Robert Southwell Primary school again in the near future.
