Visit by Lord Peter Lilley

During his visit to the College on Wednesday 9th October, Lord Lilley opened up about his time as a Cabinet Minister under Prime Ministers Thatcher and Major with some amusing anecdotal stories involving the different leadership styles of both PMs and PM Thatcher cooking fish fingers in a microwave.
Students were able to ask questions about his long political life and he expanded his thoughts regarding the current Prime Minister, Brexit, the Irish border, Climate Change and knife crime. It was an excellent opportunity for students to engage with such a wealth of political knowledge and be inspired to get involved, at whatever level, in their own political activism.
