Charity walking and running this June

Race for Life 2019 and St Luke's Walk
Staff and students of St Dominic’s have given their time over two consecutive weekends to raise funds for two great charity causes. Firstly, 45 members of the college community, including staff, ex-students and friends of St Dominic’s, walked 5k around the beautiful local area in order to raise sponsorship money for St Luke’s Hospice. It was a fun and (miraculously) dry event for all involved, raising over £1,000. A special mention to the many furry friends of St Dominic’s who led the way in exchange for snacks.
The following weekend, 20 staff and students took to Hampstead Heath to run the 2019 Race For Life in support of cancer charities, dressed in pink and braving a 5k run over the hilliest route outside of the Himalayas. This is the 6th year St Dominic’s has taken part, and this year we raised around £2,450 for this amazing cause. A big thank you to our Vice Principal Nicola Walsh for leading these events and many others with unwavering enthusiasm!
