UCAS Council meets at St Dominic’s!
The advisory board to UCAS, the University Admissions Service, met at St Dominic’s last Wednesday, the first time in its recent history where it has met at an education provider. The Council, which comprises colleagues from schools, colleges and universities from around the United Kingdom meet twice a year in Cheltenham and London. It advises the UCAS Executive Team, chaired by CEO, Clare Marchant. Council members were joined by our Student Executive at lunch who discussed their future plans for university and life beyond St Dominic’s. The meeting covered a variety of topics including the eagerly anticipated Augar report commissioned by Theresa May which is looking primarily at the fee structure for under-graduate study in the UK. Afterwards, Clare Marchant, said that she was delighted that Council had been able to meet at St Dominic’s and thanked everyone for their hospitality and welcome.
