Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College Visit from Darlington
We were delighted to welcome seven colleagues from Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington for a professional development visit on Friday January 18th. The teachers were with us for the whole day and enjoyed the opportunity to meet with staff and students from St Dominic’s; visiting lessons in Humanities, EMfL and AMS and enjoyed a lunch with the new Student Executive.
Queen Elizabeth is a large Sixth Form College in Darlington, County Durham with over 2000 students. It was the College where the Principal, Andrew Parkin, completed his A levels and over the last 6 years the two institutions have worked together to share professional learning opportunities. The outgoing Year 2 Student Executive will be visiting Queen Elizabeth College on February 1st to share experiences of life in two contrasting institutions and indeed two very different parts of the UK.
