Trip to Whipsnade Zoo
On Monday 25th June 2018 a group of around 20 Biology students visited ZSL Whipsnade Zoo. We started our day with a zoo ethics educational session where we were able to use our knowledge of pervious topics from class to sort out dilemmas that may occur in a zoo, with regards to conservation, cost efficiency and animal welfare. Throughout the day we got to see many different animals in their extremely realistic enclosures and learn about them with the help of volunteers which were scattered around the zoo. My favourite part of the trip was seeing the three sister bear cubs, which were fairly new to the zoo and were very playful and happy to put on a show for visitors.
