During our trip to Madrid, we visited our partner school in Alcalá de Henares and spent a morning in our pen pals´ lessons. T his allowed us to practice our Spanish in little groups, and make extra plans with some of them for lunch and Saturday evening.

We visited Madrid attractions such as Prado Museum, the Royal Palace, Nebot temple, the 17^th Century quarter, food markets, and we enjoyed the gastronomy and street and night life.  We also travelled to spend a day in the beautiful medieval city of Segovia and enjoyed the typical Castillian food.

This trip to Spain is something we will never forget, as we had some of the best experiences of our life and met so many lovely people that helped us improve our Spanish. It was also a very useful direct contact with the Spanish culture, which will be so useful to prepare our AS exams.

“Madrid tiene un color especial” [Madrid has a special colour] and we really didn't want to leave.
