Why study a language? Consider all the careers which cross national boundaries -business, medicine, journalism, teaching, film. The overwhelming majority of employers deal in an international context and appreciate the value of those who can move easily in different languages and cultures – as reflected in the pay and employment rates of those who can offer other languages.
More importantly perhaps, to view life through the filter of another culture and language helps us come to a more nuanced and profound understanding of our world.
At Spanish AS you will develop your language skills through a variety of topics related to young people, with the opportunity to conduct your own research into a topic of interest for the speaking exam.
At A2 you will learn to discuss wider, more global issues in both spoken and written work.
