A Level Law

law

For most students, AS Level Law is an introduction to the subject, and focuses on building knowledge and understanding of the English Legal System and the principles that underlie it. At A2 Level, the course focuses on one specific area of law – in our case criminal law. You will learn about the general principles of criminal liability such as actus reusand mens rea, and you will study the law on a range of criminal offences, from murder to theft.

Many other subjects fit well with Law; for example, English, Government and Politics, History and Economics/Business Studies. A qualification in Law will help you progress to Higher Education to study any of these subjects further, or you could go on to work in various areas such as the legal profession, business management, the civil service and local government.
