At St Dominic's we want every student to get involved in working for others. There are so many things that need to be done in our communities and we all have a part to play in making the world a better place. Helping others is one of the most important things we can do as human beings. It makes us feel good, it increases our self-confidence and gives us the chance to try new things, make new friends and develop our skills. It also gives us the chance to put something positive on our CV for university or job applications. Certain courses such as teaching, medicine etc. often require that students complete a period of voluntary service.
We would like to increase our database of placement opportunities. Are you able to offer a position to a student to undertake voluntary work, either now or in the future?
