1st Year Activities & Freshers' Fair

St Dominic's is more than just an exam factory.  We pride ourselves on the many extra-curricular activities we offer our students.  Every Wednesday afternoon we stop our academic studies and indulge in enrichment activities which might be anything from the College musical to the sports teams, from societies and clubs to Zumba and volunteering, from board games to the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award.

New activities this year include:

  • The Three Peaks Challenge
  • Latin for Beginners
  • Portuguese and Brazilian Culture
  • and many more

We offer over 53 different activities, in line with our mission to educate our students holistically. Whilst many schools and colleges are decreasing their provision we have actually extended ours thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of all our staff.

We introduced our new students to these enrichment activities at a Freshers' Fair, which took place in our Sports Hall.  All students attended and were given a few freebies like a wristband, just to say a big welcome to them.  It is a great afternoon but very busy with a real buzz.  The accompanying photos here reveal the mayhem!
